In 2010, Somerset, Transition Housing Corporation Affordable Housing (THCAH) and the Webster Garden Tenant Association acquired Webster Gardens, preserved affordable rents and renovated the property. In partnership with Somerset and the THCAH, the Webster Gardens Tenant Association oversees the Webster Garden Community Center’s resident services programs. A Tenant Services Fund was established as part of the redevelopment of the property and an on-going effort to obtain grants, assures program continuity.
Webster Gardens is a 52-unit apartment community located in Ward 4. As a part of the renovations completed in 2011, the development team built a new community room, a computer lab, and new offices to assist in resident services programming. Webster Gardens is home to 16 families that successfully graduated from Transitional Housing Corporation’s transitional housing program.
Transitional Housing Corporation (THC) has been engaged by the property to provide a Resident Services Program to assist families at Webster Gardens to connect to quality social, education, and employment services. Webster Gardens is home to 16 families who were formerly homeless and have successfully graduated from transitional housing programs.
