Faircliff Community Center Association (FCCA) 1350 Fairmont Street Washington, D.C. 20009 www.faircliffplazaeast.org
FCCA was founded in 2003 as a non-profit, 501c3 organization. Its purpose is to train, educate, and empower the residents of Faircliff Plaza East Apartments to improve the quality of life for those who live there. The FCCA Board which is made of the representatives of the owners (Somerset Development and Eagle Point Companies) and a community representative works closely with the Faircliff Residential Council to identify activities and volunteers, and to coordinate with other neighborhood non-profit service providers such as the Columbia Heights/Shaw Collaborative and Garfield Terrace Family Council. A Tenant Service Fund established by the owners, contributions from cash flow of the property, and fundraising activities assures ongoing financing of support for community programs.
Faircliff Plaza East Apartments is an 80-unit apartment building in Columbia Heights. Improvements to the property included the construction of a new community space and computer lab. The new community center houses a Neighborhood Networks Center, which offers after school and summer programs for resident children, skills training for adults, computer instruction, and other services.
We seek to educate and empower our community through the following programs:
Youth Enrichment Programs
Family Literacy Resources
Healthy Living Workshops
Financial Literacy Workshops
Connections to after school programs and summer camps
